An Artist-Blacksmith studio operated by me,
Shannon Buckner.
I have been working with metal for 25yrs, bringing my
background in pastel painting, textile print design and
graphic design into sculptural form.
My inspiration is rooted in nature. Seedpods, insect bodies, aquatic life, color, texture, design and even scents all transport me into an imaginary world. It's very exciting to forge cold hard steel into fluid organic shapes; bringing my ideas to fruition. My garden sculptures are of ficticious plant species that often ingage your imagination! All are intended for outdoor, year round enjoyment.
Sculptures are available for sale at art shows or by appt.*
Custom work is also available such as gates, railings, trellises, and range from the Art Nouveau to Midcentury Modern aesthetic.
